§ 42-184. Use of radio in taxicabs or limousines.

  • No driver shall operate a radio in any taxicab or limousine while the same is being used to transport passengers for hire in the city without the permission of such passengers; provided that this section shall not prohibit the use in any taxicab or limousine operating under the provisions of this article of a radio device for the purpose of receiving instructions for the carrying of passengers directed through such radio device from the office or headquarters of the person or company under whom such taxicab or limousine is being operated.
