§ 42-208. Passenger to pay fares; receipt for payment.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any driver to charge any fare higher than those provided in section 42-207 or for any passenger to refuse to pay the fares lawfully charged in accordance with this section.

    (b)

    At the conclusion of a trip and upon payment of a fare, a taxicab driver, if requested by the passenger, shall deliver to the passenger a receipt for payment.
